Mourinho and Woodward should cut losses with Man United man as soon as possible – Agreed?

Our Manchester United supporters here in the Transfer Tavern are starting to get itchy feet over some of their contract expiring stars.

One player that most United supporters may be feeling the opposite way about is ultimate marmite midfielder Marouane Fellaini as the Belgian creates friction amongst the Red Devils faithful here in the Tavern.

Jose Mourinho certainly seems to hold him in high regard but many of our punters believe he’s clumsy on the ball, makes the team play one dimensional and an overall a liability.

Our glass collector does stick up for the former Everton man, saying that Fellaini does have his good point. As a midfielder for United, he’s made the most appearances and scored the most goals since his arrival than any other player. He has scored important goals and does offer something different even if it’s not to the fans’ liking.

However, our Landlord looks at why United should cut their losses and cash in on him in January…

Clubs are interested

United are a money making machine, there’s no doubt that. Still, it seems as if though, this window is about balancing the books a little after a few transfer windows of splurging.

Reportedly, Fellaini is of big interest to Turkish giants Besiktas, also Mourinho has been told to sell before he can buy so that could make him show his hand instead of letting him go for free in the summer.

Make United look weak

United has always been a club that they tell players when there leaving, not the other way round.

If the board let Fellaini dictate over this contract, it will open the door to more stars doing similar and has they have another seven all expiring it may be a good move to make an example to nip things in the bud.

A simple get out the door if your not signing, would reverberate through the squad.
