Mourinho simply must consider signing these 2 French players in January

Manchester United’s recent form has raised questions from our United punters here in the Transfer Tavern…

Nonetheless, there is still lots of expectation that the ‘Special One’ will make a move into the January transfer market. Historically, Mourinho is not known for his expenditure mid-season, but his previous purchases such as Nemanja Matic would prove a great success within this United squad.

With France international Paul Pogba starting to find his feet in the Premier League, many of the Old Trafford supporters here in the Tavern are hoping Mourinho returns to France to seek the players needed to strengthen his squad.

With that said, here are are TWO French players Mourinho should sign this winter.

Antoine Griezmann

United are currently bolstering a strike force nearing retirement. Except for Marcus Rashford, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are coming towards the end of their career.

Griezmann is one of European football’s hottest properties currently and looks set to depart Atletico Madrid. Griezmann’s finesse and predatory instincts make him the ideal candidate to become an Old Trafford legend.

With youth on his side, Mourinho’s tactics would enable Griezmann to flourish – much to the delight of our Red Devils supporters.

Djibril Sidibé

The AS Monaco right-back would be the ideal replacement for the out of favour Matteo Darmian. The Italian international has struggled to contend with life in Manchester, and the 24-year-old Sidibe would suitably replace Darmian.

Sidibe rejected a move to Arsenal this summer to make the switch to the Stade Louis II stadium.

His performances in the Champions League have gained many suitors, and Mourinho should definitely snap up the French international before anyone else does.
