Ndombele deal would be the best thing to happen to these Tottenham fans

This time last year if you’d have told the Lilywhites they could be lining up for the 2019/20 season as the reigning European Champions with a midfield pivot of Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele they would have laughed in your face. Now, though, it doesn’t seem too ludicrous and L’Equipe have claimed, via GFFN, that Pochettino has approved a move for Ndombele.

The last time Tottenham splurged on a player it was when Mauricio Pochettino agreed to part with £23 million for the incredible Brazilian livewire Lucas Moura. That deal is seen as being an amazing one and for good reason. Despite some inconsistent performances in the Premier League, the winger scored the three all-important goals in Amsterdam to send Tottenham into the Champions League final.

If that isn’t enough of endorsement to go out and sign players, then nothing is. Poch has shown he can get it right in the market, and he should be listened to on this one. Ndombele would be a fine player in North London, and with a gap in the middle of the park in Pochettino’s side, it makes sense for him to be looking at the Lyon star as the man to fill that gap, even if it will cost Daniel Levy a pretty penny.

There isn’t much that the Lilywhites wouldn’t do to get this one across the line, and will hope Levy wants it done as much as they do.
