Newcastle United are a club that are suffering at the moment. On and off the pitch there seem to be issues and with a lot of Magpies tuning in to watch Southampton vs Brighton last night on Monday Night Football, some supporters noticed that Brighton have won a lot more penalties than they have in recent years.
I would love to see a comparison of how many penalties #nufc have been awarded in comparison to Brighton since we were both promoted.

Some of the more witty Geordies took the opportunity to slate their own side in response to the question of penalties. A number of fans claimed that you have to actually attack and get into the box to win penalties whereas other fans simply said that the club would be unable to score them anyway. This season has seen Rafa Benitez’s side awarded a single spot-kick, however, Kenedy failed to convert it deep into injury time as they drew 0-0 at Cardiff.
It would be nice for the supporters to see some more goals go in considering they’ve scored just four times this season. All those goals have come in 2-1 losses to club’s who finished in the top six last season and whether they’re scoring from open play or from 12 yards, the fand on;t care as long as the ball hits the back of the net. It could be a long season for the St James Park faithful but if they can get back to winning ways against Crystal Palace this weekend then things can only get better.

At least the Geordies have a sense of humour over their lack of spot kicks, but it is true that the more they get forward the more likely they are to get a chance from 12 yards.
