The start to the season couldn’t have been much worse for Newcastle United. The club have scored five goals in all competitions and are to win in the eight games they’ve played, scoring just five goals in the process, drawing twice and losing six times. Rafa Benitez is looking increasingly dejected but the fans are desperate to get behind him and try and muster a win from somewhere.

The Magpies lost 2-0 at home to Leicester City on Saturday as their misery dragged on and the supporters will be wondering where the next win will be coming from. Upcoming games against Manchester United, Brighton and Southampton offer little hope to the fans and the Geordies will be desperate to see Mike Ashley out of their club as soon as possible so they can start focusing on the football and not the off-field dramas surrounding the club.
When Newcastle tweeted out Rafa Benitez’s post-match interview from the defeat at the hands of Claude Puel’s Leicester the fans were eager to show their support for Benitez and even though things are looking more and more bleak by the game at the moment, things will turn around sooner or later for the club. This is the Magpies second season back in the Premier League and as far as the fans are concerned, relegation is not an option for them as they aim to avoid the drop in what will be a very long season.

The fans will always be behind Rafa Benitez but are finding it increasingly difficult to stay positive as they continue to search for their first win of the season.
