Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are buzzing after The Express revealed that they are set to sign Saint-Etienne’s 16-year-old Rayan Souici who has been tipped to be ‘the next Paul Pogba’.
Arsenal and Liverpool were also chasing the midfielder but it looks as though Jose Mourinho has managed to tie him down.
He will hope to get the transfer done and dusted as soon as possible after their move for Croatian international Andrej Kramaric looks set to end in disappointment with the youngster closing in on a switch to Leicester City.
So to avoid a repeat of that, they are hoping he will sign the three-year contract that is being prepared.
Mourinho is confident that the French Under-16 star will settle well in London thanks to the presence of fellow Frenchman Kurt Zouma who also moved to the Blues from Les Verts.
Earlier on in the season, reports suggested that Arsenal were favourites to land the youngster but it appears that once again, they are going to miss out on one of their transfer targets.
