Not only do Red Devils around the world have yet another European trophy to marvel, they also have Champions League football to look forward to next term.
So, reports linking star midfielder Ander Herrera with a move to Barcelona proved thoroughly unwelcome today. According to Spanish outlet Sport, the La Liga giants are keen on a move for the 27-year-old, should they appoint Ernesto Valverde as their new manager.
Well, such is the nature of Herrera’s importance to United’s cause this season, the idea of him leaving is a very scary one indeed. The former Athletic Bilbao man can surely lay claim to being the best long-term player at Old Trafford in the post-Sir Alex days, so losing him now would be a huge blow.
