The last few details still need to be ironed out, but the player himself is said to be ‘happy’ about the way things have progressed, as he was always prioritising remaining with his current club.

The Paris-born ace has endured a difficult season, having made just two appearances in the Premier League because of a hamstring injury, however when he is back to full fitness, it will be a real boost for Graham Potter.
Hailed as ‘outstanding’ by members of the media, the 53-time France international is most well-known for his defensive attributes, ranking in the 86th percentile for interceptions and 91st percentile for blocks per 90 over the past year.
This would make Kante a fantastic option playing alongside the more attack-minded Enzo Fernandez in the engine room, and Potter will be hoping he can return to full fitness in March, as expected.
