Fans in the Transfer Tavern have been ripping into Simon Jordan today after the former Crystal Palace chairman declared that Wilfried Zaha is every bit as good as Manchester City’s wing-wizard, Leroy Sane. Jordan made the comments whilst speaking on TalkSPORT and he also claimed that Gareth Southgate should hang his head in shame after letting Zaha switch international allegiance to the Ivory Coast.
Whilst no one in the bar is disputing the obvious talents of Crystal Palace’s Ivorian winger, everyone has come to the same agreement that Leroy Sane is just a level above the 25-year-old. Sane has been in scintillating form for the Citizens this season and he’s played a major part in the Mancunian giants’ canter towards the Premier League crown. Meanwhile, the Palace man is embroiled in a Premier League relegation battle at the other end of the table.
If the Eagles do drop down to the Championship, it’ll be a shock if Wilfried Zaha doesn’t jump ship seeing as his ability is wasted outside of the top flight. Tottenham Hotspur have been linked heavily with the winger over the last few years and will be hoping they can bring their man in if the South London club find themselves in the Championship next season. Whatever happens for Zaha, it’s safe to say Leroy Sane will continue dazzling fans as he stars for both Manchester City and Germany.
