It seems that ever since Championship rivals Newcastle United managed to pull off a sensational win back in late September, the Norwich City fans in the Transfer Tavern have lost their sense of self.
Prior to that sensational meeting at St. James’ Park, the Canaries were looking strong in the second tier and the notion of Alex Neil leading them into another promotion seemed very likely indeed.
Oh, how things change.
The East Anglian club have since failed to win four games on the trot and were trounced 5-0 by fellow promotion chasers Brighton, as well as being knocked out of the EFL Cup by Leeds United.
Now, according to the Sun, the Scottish coach is facing the axe at Carrow Road.
Plucked from relative obscurity, the former Hamilton Academical coach won promotion in his first season in charge, though could not prevent relegation from the top flight after just one season.
Defeat at home to the Whites on Saturday could reportedly see the 35-year-old axed after a fiery bust-up between he and senior players.
Would sacking Neil be far too harsh by the Canaries? Let us know below…
