‘Not this again!’ – Selection of Everton fans sick and tired of transfer links

Drastic changes are expected at Everton this summer with new manager Marco Silva set to move on what he deems deadwood within the squad.

According to Director of Football Marcel Brands (via the Guardian), the Merseyside club could get rid of up to eight players in this transfer window and these departures will leave room for new additions.

One of the new additions to Silva’s squad could be Borussia Dortmund winger Andriy Yarmolenko, with BILD via Tribal Football reporting that Everton are interested in signing the 28-year-old.

With Yannick Bolasie set to leave Goodison Park, according to the Daily Star, Everton will only be left with Theo Walcott for the wide positions.

Of course, Silva could keep the likes of Ademola Lookman and Kevin Mirallas in Merseyside after their recent loan spells, but the Portuguese coach will likely target another forward player, regardless, and Yarmolenko remains a very a good option.

Yarmolenko, who’s valued at £20.7m by Transfermarkt, hasn’t been able to make the impact that was expected of him in Germany after moving to Borussia Dortmund from Dynamo Kiev. However, the Ukraine international is still a quality player who could bring much to Everton.
