Nottingham Forest headed into today’s fixture against Championship leaders Leeds without a win in their previous five matches.
It was a tall order for Aitor Karanka’s men to topple rampant Leeds, particularly without star man Lewis Grabban and with Michael Hefele going off injured within minutes of the game starting. However, The Reds pulled off a huge victory, which is significant given the rumours that were circulating regarding Karanka’s future.
Fans took to Twitter to celebrate the victory, with many fans highlighting the performance of veteran Daryl Murphy. The 35-year-old was deputising for Grabban up front, and bagged a goal in the 4-2 victory. Not only that, but he was a constant thorn in the side of accomplished Leeds centre-back Pontus Jansson. This is the performance that the fans wanted to see from a player that has been on the fringes for most of the season.
This is what the fans had to say:

A win against #DirtyLeeds is always something to celebrate. Osborn made the difference, Murphy put in an absolute shift, made Jansson look silly at times. Each player played out of there skin today, what a team performance.
