Nottingham Forest: Fans react to Sabri Lamouchi’s comments by telling him what to do

Whilst the season of goodwill and festive cheer has, perhaps, passed as we enter into the new year, some Nottingham Forest fans appear to still be in the mood of giving as many of them had some advice they wanted to pass on to Sabri Lamouchi.

“We have to accept this today but we have to change it. If we play like this at home, we will not win all the time. We need to find a different way for the next game.” #NFFC

Despite the Tricky Trees managing to get past a Wigan Athletic side on Sunday with a 1-0 victory, the manager admitted that his side were fortunate as they had hardly played at their best.

Lamouchi also mentioned that they would need to be better when they play against some of the other Championship sides at the City Ground in the future, otherwise they could end up without the points and suggested that he might have to change his tactics and/or game plan moving forward.

Indeed, fans were delighted that he had noticed that things were not going as well as they could at home and were pleased with the comments that he had made, however it appears many of them all had the same ideas when it came down to things he could alter moving forward.

Plenty of the Nottingham Forest faithful highlighted Lamouchi’s decision to play a number of defensive midfielders in his starting line-up and urged him to begin matches with a more attack-minded set-up.

Try not starting 2 CDM’s which neither are good enough. One is past it and the other had potential but if he wasn’t an academy player wouldn’t get close.

Well for starters play with two strikers, and Lolley wide left with Cash wide right wing, and where has the passing ball to feet play gone? It also helps if they move and find space to create a pass, it was abysmal today but we won, just!

Radical idea but try changing the formation it may suit our more creative players, rather than sticking them out wide and hoping for the best. A few new additions may help as well.

Can’t play Watson, Yates and Samedo in midfield, as all are similar and not creative. Carvalho looks like he doesn’t belong in the Championship. Playing one up front with that midfield was never good enough at home against a team at the foot of the table.
