The Man United fans have made their way to the Transfer Tavern today and whilst their present looks good, the future is looking bright too.

It is easy to forget at times given how much money Manchester United throw around during the transfer window that they have a legendary youth set up.

Their ‘class of 92’ is arguably the most successful group of players who made the jump from youth set up to the first team picture ever established.

Since then there haven’t been as many stand out players coming through the academy at United but there are a few youngsters within the side right now, who could make their way to the first team sooner rather than later.

Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho has arguably assembled the best Manchester United squad since Fergie’s departure and even on paper it’s better than that side.

Our landlord is still impressed that Ferguson managed to win the title with that side.

Given the strength of the first team right now it is doubtful that these players will nail down a consistent first team spot right now, but they are definitely ones to look out for.

On that note, here are two Man United starlets you should keep your eyes on this season.

Andreas Pereira

Midfielder Andreas Pereira has been the surprise package during Man United’s pre-season tour of American.

He spent last season on loan at Granada in order to gain first team football and that spell away seems to have benefited him immensely.

The 21-year-old featured in all five pre-season games including an impressive display against Real Madrid.

United have a lot of strength in the attacking midfield position but expect to see Pereira feature in domestic cup ties and if he keeps performing to a high standard, he will surely give Mourinho something to think about.

Axel Tuanzebe

The first, first-year scholar to captain the Manchester United u18 side since the legendary Gary Neville.

Right now, that fact will most likely make him most well known as an answer in a pub quiz but in a few years’ time the story could be quite different.

At just 19-years-old Tuanzebe has made a handful of appearances for the United first team and seems to have pleased manager Jose Mourinho in the process.

Perhaps a loan spell away for some consistent first team football would benefit the young centre back but whether he stays or goes this season, expect big performances whenever he is given the chance.
