Crystal Palace supporting punters in the Transfer Tavern were buzzing in the summer when the club persuaded Yohan Cabaye to swap the bright lights of Paris for the South East of London and he has been in superb form for the club this season.
The Eagles fans eagerly anticipating the Wednesday night sport’s quiz in the Tavern have been drawn to an article in the Croydon Advertiser, in which the Frenchman has called upon his team-mate and ex-Manchester United player Wilfried Zaha, to up his consistency levels. He said:
“Wilf is a talented player. He needs to keep working hard and play every game like we know he can because we need him. He is confident right not and just wants to play his football. His football is to take on his full-back and try to make a difference. He did that against Manchester United.”
The landlord agrees with Cabaye and said: “Zaha is clearly talented but needs to put in those sort of performances every single week, if he is to keep his place in the team.”
