West Ham United will be desperate to return to winning ways after putting in a hugely disappointing performance against Manchester City last time out.
The Hammers have certainly been better under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini in recent times, but last weekend’s result brought supporters back to reality.
West Ham United will travel to St James’ Park to face Newcastle United in their next Premier League fixture. The Magpies have won their last three and are looking like a force to be reckoned with, so the Hammers will be up against it once again later on today.
So, Pellegrini must get his team selection right by selecting these TWO West Ham players…
AARON CRESSWELL
Aaron Cresswell has been a passenger for large parts of the current campaign as he only has nine appearances to his name in all competitions at this moment in time.
The defender has struggled to ensure consistency at times this season, which has forced Manuel Pellegrini into swapping between him and Arthur Masuaku.
However, after witnessing the Frenchman’s horrific performance against Manchester City last time out, it’s about time the South American looked at giving Cresswell another chance in the side.
MARK NOBLE
Mark Noble has suffered with a couple of injury-related problems this season, so he hasn’t been able to have that much of an affect on proceedings so far, despite producing two assists already.
The Englishman was on the substitutes’ bench last time out against the Citizens after missing the previous two Premier League fixtures, so Pellegrini simply has to bring him back into the starting lineup to face Newcastle United today as they’ll need him to stop Jonjo Shelvey from pulling the strings.
