Perfect weekend: Liverpool

Liverpool have been rather impressive so far this season as they remain unbeaten in the Premier League, with the race for the title already hotting up.

Indeed, the Reds will fancy their chances of securing an elusive trophy under Jurgen Klopp this season, despite suffering a slight setback against Napoli in the Champions League.

The Merseyside club will be looking to extend their unbeaten league streak when they take on title rivals Manchester City at Anfield. It’s vital that the Reds secure all three points against the Citizens as they’d make a huge statement and could tilt the title race in their favour.

Of course, picking up maximum points and title rivals slipping up would be the ideal situation.

SALAH STARTS FIRING

Mohamed Salah was the standout performer for the Reds last season as he found himself in the form of his life, scoring 44 goals and providing 16 assists. However, he has been performing below par by his standards in the current campaign, with only three goals and two assists to his name.

So, seeing him find his feet against Manchester City would be the perfect situation for Liverpool supporters, with three points in the title race and the Egyptian back to his dominant best.

CHELSEA LOSE UNBEATEN STREAK

Chelsea find themselves firmly in the race for the Premier League title at this early stage, with their unbeaten league record still intact under Maurizio Sarri. And, the two clubs got a good look at each other last weekend, with Daniel Sturridge grabbing a late equaliser for the Reds at Stamford Bridge.

Jurgen Klopp’s side could really produce a lead at the top of the table if the Blues were to slip up against Southampton this weekend, which would be an absolute dream for supporters.
