When Sadio Mane made a hugely expensive move to Liverpool over the course of the summer, collective eyebrows were raised amongst some of the punters in the Transfer Tavern.
The Senegalese was often inconsistent during his time with Southampton and had largely failed to wholly convince he was worthy of the reported £34m price tag.
However, the former Red Bull Salzburg man has been a revelation on Merseyside since his move, offering Jurgen Klopp a direct winger amid a vast array of intricate technicians.
Amazingly, the 24-year-old has had a huge impact at Anfield already, winning the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award in the Premier League.
Upon closer look at his form with the Kop giants, it appears the pulsating forward has had a far-reaching impact on Liverpool.

As indicated by the photo above, he has notched goals on both his home and away debut, winning the club’s Player of the Month award as well as the MOTD monthly goal award.
Our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern thinks the Reds have undoubtedly secured a superstar in Mane, and thinks on the whole, it was a superb bit of business from Jurgen Klopp.
