Watching the game in the Transfer Tavern yesterday, the Tottenham Hotspur fans propping up our bar were absolutely delighted with a debutant.
Indeed, much had been made about Kieran Trippier’s injury following the sale of Kyle Walker, leaving Spurs – on paper – short of a right-back.
However, Kyle Walker-Peters seriously impressed at St. James’ Park, earning the Man of the Match Award and looks like another top prospect to have emerged under Mauricio Pochettino’s watch.
While he’s got some way to go into fully replacing Walker, the 18-year-old looked very comfortable in Premier League action and teammate Eric Dier posted a photo showing just how much he enjoyed it.

Uploaded on Dier’s Instagram story and posted on Twitter by 101 Great Goals, the England international caught the talented teen taking a photo of his MOTM trophy en route back to London after the game.
Judging by his performance, there will be plenty more of them to come.
Thoughts?
