‘Poor man’s Salah’ - Liverpool fans on Twitter slate Man United after international striker reports

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern after reading a story on Sky Sports that Saudi Arabian international forward, Mohammed Al-Salhawi will train with Manchester United for three weeks as he aims to gain some sharpness ahead of the World Cup in Russia. The 31-year-old striker has scored 26 goals in 33 appearances for Saudi Arabia and will be hoping he can inspire his country in Russia this summer.

The Liverpool fans propping our bar up have been taking digs at their Manchester rivals for allowing the Al-Nassr striker to train with them at Carrington. Our resident Reds have made the link between Mohammed Al-Salhawi and their own Mohamed Salah due to their similar names and have joked that United are just after their own “Mo Salha” as Salah continues to impress with his incredible goalscoring record in the Premier League this season.

The Saudi Arabian forward has been drawn into World Cup group A and will be hoping he can inspire his country out of a group containing Russia, Uruguay and Egypt. The game against Egypt will be particularly enjoyable for our local Kopites as Mo Salah and Mo Salha will go head-to-head in the summer. For now though, the 31-year-old will be focussed on sharpening up and honing his game ahead of the World Cup, whilst Mo Salah will be hoping he can help Liverpool secure a top-four place and overcome Manchester City in the Champions League.
