Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to get his hands on an elusive piece of silverware in the current campaign, with the Premier League and Champions League still providing him with the opportunity.
The Reds are set to face Portuguese giants FC Porto in the quarter-final stages of the Champions League. Liverpool fans will feel confident that their side can get the job done over two legs after ripping Porto apart at the Estadio do Dragao last season, but they shouldn’t underestimate the power of Sergio Conceicao’s side.
Although, with the summer transfer window getting closer by the day it appears as if the Reds have already set their sights on a possible target, as according to ESPN FC (via Football Espana), Liverpool are interested in Junior Firpo.

FSG SPLASH CASH ON ALBERTO MORENO REPLACEMENT
According to the Independent, Alberto Moreno is close to agreeing a pre-contract agreement with Lazio.
The Spaniard has struggled to work his way into Jurgen Klopp’s plans in the current campaign as he’s only managed to make five appearances in all competitions. And, with Andy Robertson thriving and Adam Lewis threatening to break into the first-team, it’s safe to say that Moreno is surplus to requirements.
Although, the Reds will want to bring in a direct replacement if he ends up leaving and Junior Firpo appears to be the man who Liverpool could turn to. But, FSG will inevitably have to splash the cash in order to bring the Real Betis man to Anfield, and AS reported (via Daily Mirror) in November that Firpo has a £43.5 million release clause.
ANDY ROBERTSON SCARED
Andy Robertson has been one of the shining lights for Liverpool in the current campaign, producing an impressive 10 assists in all competitions, as well as constantly putting in a shift in the defensive third.
The Scotland international won’t want anything to interrupt the flow of things in the summer transfer window as he’s made the left-back position his own since joining from Hull City.
Therefore, he may be scared about his long-term future and position in the side if Firpo was to join as the 22-year-old has been tipped for big things and the Reds would more than likely have to spend big to sign him, so they may feel as if they have to give him regular game time to justify the potential hefty fee paid.
