Touted as the man to bring the Eagles forward, ‘Pardiola’ has been facing huge amounts of criticism recently as his side tumble down the league.
Despite spending heavily during the summer, Selhurst Park has been an unhappy place and the south London outfit are the worst performing English side of 2016.
So, reports from the Daily Mirror have at least given the Palace faithful propping up the bar reasons to smile at long last.
They’re suggesting a big-name manager could be interested in the role, none other than Roberto Mancini.
Having left Inter Milan just before the new Serie A campaign, the Italian is currently out of work and is said to have thrown his hat into the ring.
Sam Allardyce is another name linked to the role, while Wales manager Chris Coleman is understood to have been considered.
Still, Mancini led Manchester City to an FA Cup and Premier League title during his stint at the Etihad and would be a rather large coup for Palace.
