Arsenal fans on Twitter want to see more of Nketiah after international triumph - Arsenal

Eddie Nketiah is one of those youngsters who is always performing. Whenever the fans catch him playing he’s always either scoring or registering assists and last night was no different. England’s U20s side hosted their German counterparts in Colchester last night and whilst one young Arsenal star in Joe Willock was on the scoresheet, it was Nketiah who bagged an assist.

Nketiah burst onto the Arsenal scene just over a year ago when he scored twice off the bench in a 2-1 win against Norwich City in the Carabao Cup third round. His goals in that game saved Arsene Wenger’s wide from an embarrassing early cup exit and he made every single Arsenal fans consider him as a genuine first-team option. Now, though, one year on and he’s still forcing his name into the conversation.

This season, the 19-year-old is yet to play his first minutes under Unai Emery, although he has been named on the bench five times in the Premier League, Europa league and Carabao Cup. Game time will come for the youngster, but it’s just about being patient, Emery’s side have already qualified for the next phase of the Europa League and still have two group games left, with Danny Welbeck facing the rest of the season on the sidelines, those two games against Vorskla and Qarabag could give Nketiah with a huge first-team chance.

The Gunners clearly rate Nketiah very highly and will be desperate to see him get some minutes in the first-team in the coming weeks.
