Crystal Palace: Fans rave over Vicente Guaita after solid spell

Looking at the numbers, it is clear Vicente Guaita has been in good form for Crystal Palace this season.
The Spanish goalkeeper has kept six clean sheets in English football’s top flight so far, with only Leicester City’s Kasper Schmeichel managing to keep more (7).
Should Roy Hodgson be starting Max Meyer?
Yes

No

Indeed, Guaita and the rest of Palace’s backline have done well, which has not gone under the radar.
Following their 1-1 draw against rivals Brighton on Monday, some fans have since taken to Twitter to laud the 32-year-old for his overall displays this term.
One supporter mooted that he might be the club’s player of the season so far, while another suggested he is the main reason why Roy Hodgson’s side are picking up points right now.
Guaita and Co. will next be in action on Saturday when they travel to St. James’ Park to face Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Responsible in many ways for a number of our points and so our sort-of comfort. He’s a great keeper imho, composed and skilful

Player of the season? Cahill runs him close, but some of his saves have been stunning. Won Palace a lot of points this season.

I thought he could have played up front last night given his desire to get the ball
