From an outside perspective, everything looks rosy at Leicester City at the start of 2020.

Brendan Rodgers’ Foxes sit second in the Premier League and head into the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final all square with Aston Villa.
Their form took a nosedive in December, though, going three games without a win in the league over the festive period.
Convincing losses at the hands of closest rivals Liverpool and Manchester City set them apart from the Reds in any potential title race and they’re now 13 points adrift.
So, the Carabao Cup presents a real possibility of their first silverware since that famous title win, but an unconvincing display at the King Power Stadium left them unable to finish Villa off. Indeed, they will travel to Villa Park needing a result to progress to the Wembley final, facing either one of the Manchester clubs.
England international full-back Ben Chilwell was the target of some Leicester fans’ unhappiness, after turning a sub-par performance. As per SofaScore, Chilwell lost possession 15 times, and won just one of his four ground duels. Linked with a move to Manchester City (per the Daily Telegraph), the 23-year-old didn’t do much to impress fans online.
Here’s how some fans reacted to that display:
Chilwell has had an awful game

Don’t know who’s worse, Tielemans or Ben Chilwell. Woeful.

Sell Chilwell please

Chilwell could leave for £70m, we replace him with some half decent £25m job from the continent & we’d be a 10x better side for it. The most painfully average player in the league.

Sell Chilwell for 60M if someone’s daft enough to pay that! Started passing backwards all the time since playing for England 🤦🏻♂️
