Leicester City fell further behind leaders Liverpool at the top of the Premier League, falling to a disappointing 2-1 loss to Southampton at the King Power Stadium. Brendan Rodgers’ men suffered their third defeat in their last five league games, with the Saints getting a touch of revenge after the 9-0 drubbing they received earlier in the season against the Foxes.
A string of poor results and below-par performances have slowed their momentum down of late, having been involved (albeit slightly) in the title race before Christmas. In fact, they’ve conceded 12 goals in their last six league games amid a poor run under the former Liverpool coach.
Full-backs Ricardo Pereira and Ben Chilwell were among their most impressive players earlier in the campaign, but the England international’s form has dropped off of late. Indeed, he hasn’t registered a league assist since October and completed just 62% of his passes (per WhoScored) in the defeat to Southampton.
Foxes fans didn’t hold their feelings back towards Chilwell, here’s how they reacted to his latest performance:

He was rubbish today.

If he was right footed, he would not be a pro!
— Andrew Gordon (@andrewgordon07) January 11, 2020
I’m amazed it was that high!

Support my club, season ticket for a decade + . Chilwell is over rated, poor defensively and rarely any good going forward , which is usually backwards. Play Fuchs or Justin, Chilwell needs a reality check 🧐

Cant be much better in the previous games either
