Liverpool fans on Twitter delighted as Henderson’s set to miss Merseyside derby

Liverpool recorded a 3-0 win over Watford yesterday and whilst it looked like a routine victory on paper, it was far from that as Javi Gracia’s side gave The Reds a run for their money throughout. It wasn’t made any easier when Jordan Henderson got himself sent off, and whilst the fans were fuming with him at the time, they’ll be delighted as he misses Everton next week.

Given the strength in depth that the Reds have in their midfield, it really is no surprise to see the supporters calling for Henderson to be dropped. The 28-year-old might be Jurgen Klopp’s captain, but the Kopites don’t believe that he has the quality to be starting for them, let alone leading them out. Because of that, the news that he will now be suspended when Everton come to Anfield next Sunday.

Klopp will likely opt to bring either Fabinho or James Milner for Hendo next week, and both of those two are options that the supporters will be delighted to see instead of Henderson. Liverpool fans love having a scapegoat in their side, and at the moment it seems that Henderson is that man now that Dejan Lovren has found form and their goalkeeping situation has been sorted. They’ll all just be hoping that whoever steps in for their captain will do a good enough job to keep him out of the side.
