Liverpool have been one of the form teams in the Premier League this season as they continue to defy expectations under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds have made a number of impressive signings in transfer windows gone by and they’ll be looking to do so once again in January. Indeed, it appears as if Jurgen Klopp has his sights set on a Portuguese international, as according to The Wistle, Liverpool are considering a move for Andre Gomes.
Liverpool is believed to be considering a move for Everton star Andre Gomes having indicated interest in having his signature ahead of the winter transfer window.
And, it appears as if the central midfielder is considering a move away from Everton as he seeks a bigger challenge with a top club in the English league.
Interestingly, Arsenal are also thought to be in the race for the in-form 25-year-old, but they seem to have been beaten off by the Reds who are already considering a bid for the player.
Andre Gomes has proved to be one of the signings of the summer for Everton in the current campaign, and he was the star of the show at Anfield in the Merseyside derby not so long ago.
Liverpool could do with bringing in another midfielder that has the ability to influence a game in the final third, as they’ve relied heavily on their front three this season.
Klopp infuriated Everton supporters when he leaped onto the pitch to celebrate Liverpool’s winning goal in the Merseyside derby, and he looks set to upset them once again as the Reds weigh up a bid for Gomes.
