Many Southampton fans have responded positively on Twitter after seeing that exciting prospect Dan N’Lundulu has signed an extension at the club.
The 20-year-old striker has now signed an extension which will keep him at the club at St Mary’s until 2022.
According to the club’s website, the forward – who only signed his last deal in the summer – has had a fantastic start to the season, scoring four times for the U23s and making a matchday squad against Manchester United in August. This contract comes as a reward for that early form.
N’Lundulu is still yet to make his first senior appearance for the side, however, he has told the club website that he will work relentlessly to get there.
He said: “It’s been a target for me, my family and my friends for a long time.
“After all my injuries I’ve come a long way, so it’s an exciting moment. I’ve just got to keep going now.
“It’s a great Academy and there’s no better feeling than being at this club.
“I’ve been scoring goals in the Under-23s, so hopefully it’s well earned.
“Being around the first-team just gives you motivation. You can feel it in the changing rooms, on the bench and warming up thinking you might come on – it’s pure motivation.
“That makes me want to work harder to be in that situation again and next time hopefully come on and do what I do well.”
Many Saints fans responded well to the news, as you can see from their replies below..
