After Tottenham were drawn with Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund in the next round of the Champions League, fans took to Twitter to give their reaction.
On the whole, the Spurs fans were upbeat, drawing inspiration from the club’s home and away victories against the German giants in the Champions League last season. However, the fans are aware that Dortmund provide a much stiffer test than they did last year, as they have significantly improved, and currently lead the Bundesliga by nine points.
The fans are also encouraged by the fact that star midfielder Son Heung-min has an exceptional record against Dortmund, not only for Tottenham, but dating back to his days in the Bundesliga playing for Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen.
While there were easier games in the draw, the fans definitely believe that there are harder ones, and are taking a lot of positives from this fixture.
This is what the fans had to say:
Done it once. Can do it again #COYS
