Tottenham supporters have been somewhat quieter in recent times after seeing their side suffer defeat in the Premier League just prior to the current fortnight break for internationals.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men went into their encounter with Watford last time out having won each of their opening three league matches, getting past Newcastle United, Fulham, and Manchester United to make a very fast start to the campaign. And in taking the lead at Vicarage Road through an Abdoulaye Doucoure own goal, they looked on course for a fourth straight victory, only for headers from Troy Deeney and Craig Cathcart to seal all three points for Javi Gracia’s Hornets.
As such, there have been many despondent Spurs fans up and down the country in recent times, several of whom are likely to be interested by the announcement that Son Heung-min is captaining South Korea in a friendly against Chile this afternoon.
Sonny captains South Korea in today’s friendly against Chile.
All the best, Sonny! https://t.co/WisaAU1Vwx

The 26-year-old forward played a key part in their World Cup campaign earlier this summer before helping his country win the Asian Games last month, with the Tottenham star netting once en route to their success.
And the former Bayer Leverkusen attacker has again been named in his country’s side to face Chile today despite playing a huge amount of football during the close season at both the World Cup and indeed the Asian Games, which is news that has stimulated quite a response from Tottenham fans on Twitter.
And several have been calling for the same thing following the announcement, namely that Son needs and indeed deserves a well-earned break after a very busy summer on international duty…
Let him rest PLEASE!!!

Are they for real?? He should have been sent on holiday after winning that tournament, before coming home to us. Not playing another two friendlies!

Waiting for Son to get a call up to the Womens team…give him a rest!

What’s the point? Rest him

Why play Sonny in both games? He’s just come back from the Asian Games and with a gold medal no less. Give the man a break

No no, the guy should be on extended leave due to the Asiangames!

When will this man get a rest! But anyway Good luck Son!

Can we have him back yet? I just want him back in London with his feet up taking a nap.
