West Brom: Fans react to Okay Yokuslu update

West Bromwich Albion’s January signing Okay Yokuslu flew to England on Thursday and trained with his new teammates for the first time on Friday ahead of this weekend’s match against Tottenham.

The Baggies completed the signing of the £3.6m-valued Turkey international (Transfermarkt) on transfer deadline day as they were desperate to bring in a new midfielder – it ended up being a busy day as Ainsley Maitland-Niles also signed on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season.

However, despite joining on Monday, he did not make the move to his new club until three days later – given that he can go straight into training ahead of the Spurs clash indicates that this was not an issue in regards to quarantine rules.

The news, which was shared on Twitter by Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett, attracted plenty of attention from the West Brom supporters, and they took to the social media platform to share their thoughts. Needless to say, they are not overly optimistic…

Let’s see what the fans had to say about the Yokuslu update below

“No disrespect to Okay, but how on earth is he going to make a difference when he’s only played 3 games this season – Allerdyce has already destroyed our team anyway!”
