Wilfried Zaha suffers injury on international duty

Crystal Palace will return to action against Everton on Sunday when the Premier League resumes, although they could be without one of their key men.

Palace have only managed to win two of their first eight league games this season and have only managed to net five times, a record only worsened by Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City.

One man that has been key to Roy Hodgson’s side is Wilfried Zaha, however, it appears that the Selhurst Park outfit have received some concerning news about their talisman.

According to a report by Abidjan Show, they are claiming that the winger has been forced to make an earlier-than-expected return to Crystal Palace through injury.

However, there has not been any information specified on the type of injury he suffered during the Ivory Coast’s match against the Central African Republic, and the severity of the knock.

The Verdict:

Zaha’s latest injury blow will be devastating for Crystal Palace as everything seems to revolve around him for them.

The Ivorian is an influential figure at Selhurst Park, having netted three of their five Premier League goals, as well as providing one assist.

Palace will be hoping that this setback will not be too serious and that he will be able to shake it off before they travel to Goodison Park to play Everton on Sunday afternoon.
