Many Wolves fans have been discussing an update about Ruben Vinagre which recently emerged on social media.
Portuguese outlet O Jogo provided an update about Vinagre’s future at Wolves. While the player is currently on loan at Olympiacos and is expected to return to Wolves at the end of the campaign, the report from O Jogo claims that the defender is about to join Portuguese club Famalicao. He was initially looking set for a move to Braga, there was no final agreement made and as such, the move couldn’t happen.
Should Wolves bring Vinagre back?
The report states that Famalicao are looking for players in multiple positions and that Vinagre would become the second player that Wolves would have out on loan out to the Portuguese club, as Bruno Jordao is already there. It has been claimed that Vinagre’s move to Famalicao could be completed as early as today.
In the summer transfer window, Wolves had signed 19-year-old Rayan Aït-Nouri on loan from Angers but the club has the option to sign him permanently. As a result, Vinagre was loaned out to Olympiacos, but the 21-year-old has played only two league games for the Greek club. He made two appearances for them in the Champions League too (as per Transfermarkt). He is currently valued at £8.1m.
This update about Vinagre’s future was relayed on Twitter by Talking Wolves recently. Many Wolves fans gave their opinion about the left-back’s current situation.
