Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be pleased with what the club have already been able to do this summer and will be delighted to hear that things look set to continue.
Steven Gerrard has been working hard in the transfer window, alongside Mark Allen, this summer with his transfer activity and has already brought in six additions to help strengthen his side.
The former Liverpool man is keen to turn the Light Blues into one of the most dominant forces in the Scottish Premiership and is determined to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic and former boss Brendan Rodgers for domestic honours.
And with those aims, it does not look like the club’s recruitment drive is set to slow down at all over the course of the next couple of months. Allen has taken to the club’s official website to state that they will constantly be looking out for new possible targets.
“That is ongoing dialogue. I’ll be in Spain as well for the early part of the trip to make sure that gets underway, but we are continually in dialogue every single day about players in terms of how they are doing and other targets etc,” he told the club’s official website.
“So it is an ongoing thing, and as I said to the press guys early doors, it is a long window and things tend to happen as the window evolves.
“People become available, people become surplus etc. so I think it is something which will go all the way to the end of August.”
Landlord’s Verdict
Rangers fans in the Tavern will be delighted that the club is continuing to push on with their recruitment this summer and will like to see a few more faces brought in to help push on with their aims for the upcoming season.
With all the possible arrivals, Gerrard and Allen will need to offload a number of players to help accommodate the additions, as well as be able to financially fund any more possible transfer deals this summer.
