There’s been a lot of talk amongst the Celtic and Hibernian fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern this season, with Neil Lennon now in charge at Easter Road of course.
The Hibees are looking well-placed to make a welcome return to the Scottish Premiership under his watch and the Northern Irishman has already relied on his connections at Parkhead to bring Kris Commons on an emergency loan earlier this season.
While a deal for the former Scotland international could not be extended beyond a few games, it seems the Cabbage and Ribs are set to raid the Scottish champions for another Lennon stalwart in the shape of Efe Ambrose.
Despite the fact the Nigerian hasn’t played all season, he remains a popular figure – if a tad error prone – amongst our drinkers, due to his performances in the Champions League for the Hoops at times during Lenny’s time in charge.
However, the 28-year-old has seen a fall from grace push him further down the pecking order of late and he now looks set to move to Leith on an emergency loan. With that in mind, here’s how Celtic and Hibernian fans reacted to Ambrose’s likely deal.
