Many QPR fans have called for manager Mark Warburton to be given a contract extension after a photo of him eating lunch with chairman Amit Bhatia was posted online.

Bhatia shared an image of him and Warburton dining together on his Twitter channel @Amit_Bhatia99, which sparked a frenzy from some R’s supporters on the social media platform.

The 57-year-old, who had been out of work since being sacked by Nottingham Forest at the end of 2017, took the QPR manager’s job in May and has enjoyed a good start to his spell at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
The R’s are currently ninth in the Championship with six wins from their first 11 matches, even though recent defeats to West Brom and Cardiff saw them slip out of the play-off position they occupied after beating Millwall last month. [via TransferMarkt]
With 18 league goals, they are the joint fourth-highest scorers in the division, behind Preston, West Brom and Fulham. [via Sky Sports]
