It looks like Rangers are trying to get some of their transfer business done early and a lot of the fan base are reacting to a report which suggests the Ibrox club have agreed a deal to sign Leon Balogun, per The Scottish Sun.
The 32 year-old, who has made 31 appearances for Nigeria, per Transfermarkt, was at Wigan on a loan from Brighton, and when the season was extended due to recent events, he moved on a free transfer to Wigan so he could play for the club over July. Now available on a free, it looks like Rangers will take this opportunity to acquire him.

In the Championship, he played eleven times, making 1.3 tackles, 3.9 clearances and 1.2 interceptions a game, per WhoScored. This highlights that he is very good at breaking up the opposition attacks and with his age and experience, he will add some much needed squad depth to Rangers.
If Steven Gerrard wants to battle Celtic for the title next season, he will need not just a strong starting eleven, but he will also need players who can be just as good waiting in the wings and Balogun looks like the ideal player to have not just because of his experience but also the quality he will bring.
Here is what fans said following the news, with the majority seemingly delighted at the potential arrival:
