After seeing their side lose to bitter rivals Celtic for the THIRD time this season, the Rangers fans drowning their sorrows in the Transfer Tavern need some cheering up to say the least.
While the Gers filling our halls believe Mark Warburton is doing a fine job at Ibrox on the whole, there’s little doubt the gap between they and the Scottish champions is a vast one, much to their annoyance.
So, as much as they need spirits lifted somewhat, reports from the Scottish Sun really won’t help in that regard.
They’ve revealed the club’s move for Brentford playmaker Jota is OFF as the Bees desperately try and keep a hold of the Spaniard.
The 25-year-old is understood to have been a target for Warburton, but his former club are said to be eager to call on his talents for the second half of the season at Griffin Park.
Niko Kranjcar is a long-term injury at the club, while fellow summer signing Jordan Rossiter has also struggled for fitness, meaning their midfield department is a little light.
