A number of Rangers fans have commended the club after it released an official statement on rangers.co.uk calling for an independent investigation into several aspects regarding the resolution to the SPFL season and an emergency general meeting of the league’s 42 members.
As noted by the Daily Record, the SPFL’s own independent inquiry, conducted by Deloitte, cleared the league of any wrongdoing in relation to the members’ vote from two weeks ago as Dundee’s missing vote was found in the spam filter among the SPFL’s mailbox.

In a club statement (shared on Twitter via @RangersFC), the Light Blues, in conjunction with some other clubs, have called for an EGM to be held and an independent inquiry into matters such as the decision to announce an incomplete vote result before all votes had been received and the decision to disregard Dundee’s initial vote and offer them a second chance to vote, among other bullet points.
These Rangers fans on Twitter praised the club for refusing to accept the findings of the inquiry carried out by Deloitte:
Correct call by Rangers as club calls for General meeting & importantly backed by other clubs
Full transparency & Independent investigation required into the handling of this situation by the SPFL
