Rangers’ win over their bitter rivals ended in more controversy than fans would have liked when Alfredo Morelos was sent off for the second time this season. His second yellow came for what the referee thought was a dive in an attempt to earn a penalty with seconds of the game to spare, and The Daily Express (via The Scottish Sun) have reported that ex-Celtic player Charlie Nicholas believes Steven Gerrard could drop him.

It’d be a brave decision to drop the Colombian when he returns from suspension considering he’s scored 12 goals from 18 games in the league so far this season. Furthermore, Rangers are now also just two points off Celtic with a game in hand, meaning every point counts.
Some Gers fans certainly think that, with many taking to Twitter to rubbish his opinion. The Scottish Sun wrote a tweet about Nicholas’ comments along with a link to their story on it and it didn’t go down to well with Gers fans. As you can imagine, those who replied tried to call the ex-pro out for his rather obscure opinion.
