Lots of Rangers fans have been discussing the fan favourite status of Borna Barisic, as one fan commented that the Croatia international has ‘gone from flop to cult hero’ at Ibrox.
You’d be hard pushed to find a more popular player in the blue half of Glasgow right now than Barisic. Okay, a certain Colombian lad may give him a run for his money, but the 27 year-old left-back was once crucified match after match for his performances under Steven Gerrard, so his turnaround is truly remarkable.
This campaign, he has become the main creative force behind the Gers’ success, racking up 13 assists in all competitions, including an incredible ratio of four assists in six games in Europa League group stage action, while also setting up both goals in the recent win over Celtic – a sure fire way into the heart of any Rangers fan.
