Rangers fans have been reacting on Twitter to James Tavierner’s latest pledge to continue taking penalties for the Gers.
JT: I believe in my ability and I am more than confident to step up for the next penalty.

The right-back was on press conference duties ahead of their Scottish Premiership match with Aberdeen on Saturday and revealed he intends to keep his role as the designated spot-kick taker.
Tavernier missed his last effort from 12 yards during their Europa League tie against Feyenoord just over a week ago, although that does not appear to have fazed him as he has admitted he is more than confident in his own ability to take one.
The 27-year-old has a fairly good record from the spot, having scored 18 of the 23 penalties he has had during his time at Rangers (Transfermarkt), but there has been some growing cause for concern with his ability.
Of the five missed opportunities, the Englishman has missed four of them whilst Steven Gerrard has been in charge of the Gers.
Indeed, Rangers fans have been having their say on Tavernier’s recent remarks and it would appear as though some of them do not share the same confidence he does from the dead-ball situation.
Here are just some of their reactions…
Don’t u dare

As much as he’s a good penalty taker I wouldn’t have him near the next one he needs to pass it over to the next player which would be Morelos for me

Morelos takes it or we riot

Just give them to Alfredo and concentrate on being a right back! That means when we are under the cosh you should be tucked in just beside Goldson not dithering about in no mans land at the half way line not helping strikers or defenders!
