Rangers have made a strong start to the 2019/20 season, and one of their star strikers has been a major reason for their success.
The Ibrox club have won five of their six Scottish Premiership matches, leaving them in second place and just three points adrift of leaders Celtic. Steven Gerrard’s side have also navigated their way through Europa League qualifying and are now participating in the main draw.
Alfredo Morelos, 23, has been instrumental in both competitions and has already hit double figures after bagging 12 goals overall.
Eight of those strikes have come in the Gers’ Europa League campaign, with the other four coming in the Scottish Premiership.
The Colombian international has been prolific for the Glasgow club for a while now, indeed he scored 30 times in 48 appearances last season alone and has picked up where he left off this term.
Those kind of figures have made him a firm fans favourite at Rangers, that is despite his poor disciplinary record which saw him sent off a European record five times in the 2018/19 campaign.
His latest goal came in their 4-0 thumping of St Johnstone last weekend, and fans seem to love him as much as they have ever done following that contribution. Here is what a few of them have been saying about Morelos on Twitter…
