On Sunday when Rangers put Motherwell to the sword it was the form of Scott Arfield that was integral. The Canadian international was at his very best, scoring twice as his side cruised to an incredible 7-1 win over the ten men of Motherwell.

Arfield has been one of Steven Gerrard’s top performers since he switched Turf Moor for Ibrox and it looks like his decision to do so has been a good one. The 30-year-old midfielder has scored five goals and registered four assists in his 21 games for The Gers this season and he’ll be desperate to improve those numbers as he continues to stake his claim as one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premier League.
Stevie G has partnered Arfield with a number of different players. The ex-Burnley man has played alongside Andy Halliday, Ovie Ejaria, Lassana Coulibaly and Ryan Jack so far this season in the Ibrox midfield and he’s yet to disappoint for his new club. The season will be a long one for Arfield and co at Ibrox and staying fit will be key, but if he can do that then there’s no doubt he will only continue to shine in Glasgow.

The Gers can’t get enough of Arfield at the moment and are loving seeing him get on the scoresheet.
