Steven Gerrard again showed that he can be the magic man at Ibrox as he masterminded a massive 3-1 win over Hearts yesterday, the first defeat in the Scottish Premier league of the season for Hearts, as the Gers continue to try and climb up the table.

After playing against Rapid Wein on Thursday, it was inevitable that Steven Gerrard’s side was going to be suffering from fatigue, especially seeing as the ex-England and Liverpool captain opted to send out the exact same eleven against Hearst as he did in the Europa League. That didn’t stop his side, though, as they took a huge 3-0 lead into halftime and never looked back from there.
The Bluenoses will have been looking for a big win to bounce back from what was an awful defeat away at Livingston last weekend. Whilst Stevie G has got his side conjuring up some magic in the Europa League, the club’s form domestically hasn;t been all there and to get a win over Hearts in the manner that they did will be huge for confident and their league position as they aim to rise up and usurp Celtic as the Scottish Premier League champions.

What a first half, second half was nervous but. Fix that shite and we’ve got a title coming our way

Excellent first half performance, completely blew Hearts out the water and therefore can understand why we didn’t need to keep the same intensity but that 2nd half performance was unacceptable and I expect Gerrard will make that perfectly clear to his players.
