Last night saw Rangers capitulate in dramatic fashion. The Gers were enjoying their return to action after the long winter break when Jermain Defoe opened his account for the club. However, Joe Worrall’s error let Kilmarnock back in, and they eventually lost 2-1 and when Steven Gerrard tried to defender Worrall, the fans weren’t having it.

Gerrard claimed that the mistake from the on-loan Nottingham Forest man was ‘uncharacteristic’ yet the Bluenoses were having none of it. The youngster has been below par as far as the fans are concerned for a lot of his time as a Ger, and the supporters would much rather see Gerrard use the Croatian stopper, Nikola Katic alongside Conor Goldson in the heart of their defence.
If it had been Katic in the side instead of Worrall then the Rangers fans believe that they’d have been home and dry without having to concede twice through chances that they gifted Kilmarnock. The loss means that the Gers have dropped to 3rd, being leapfrogged by Killie and also sitting behind Celtic, whilst only above Aberdeen on goal difference.
You can read the Gers’ thoughts on Worrall here:
Uncharacteristic from Joe? He’s cost us a goal at least 3 times this season, and tonight he’s cost us three points in my opinion.

Sorry Stevie, that’s not uncharacteristic from Worrall. I can count on one hand the good performances he’s had. The rest? He’s not at our standard. He’s openly admitted he wants to return to Forest. Stop playing him.

Well Steven those costly errors were because of the loan player you persist with ahead of our own and in my opinion better CB. You also charged a winning formation for a losing one. Both facts.

Disagree. He cost us another game. The lad just simply isn't the answer for us.

Uncharacteristic from Joe? Aye lets not think back to his first touch in a Rangers jersey where he played a one-two with Bacca against Villarreal within 45 seconds

The Gers would feel a lot safer if they didn’t have Worrall at the back, and with Cowdenbeath away being their next game, it provides a good opportunity to get Katic back into the fold.
