Rangers have been very active over the summer and a lot has gone on at Ibrox. Steven Gerrard has brought upwards of ten players into the club and got them into the Europa League group stages and we’re yet to get to the middle of September. One of the new boys at the club is already proving to be a fan favourite, as Gareth McAuley has won over plenty of Gers.

The veteran North Ireland defender took to Twitter to share a picture of himself as a baby wrapped up in a Rangers blanket with the caption “dreams really do come true” and the Bluenoses have been lapping it up as they love nothing more than a Rangers fan turning out at Ibrox in the famous blue shirt. The 38-year-old will be desperate to make his one-year contract count and will be eagerly awaiting his debut.
The defender has spent the majority of his career in the Premier League, however, when he was relegated with The Baggies last season and his contract expired he obviously didn’t fancy sticking around for a new deal in the Championship. When Stevie G came calling it was always going to be a hard decision whether or not to have one more year or to hang up his boots but it looks like he’s made the right call as the fans love him already.
