Scott Arfield has been a man possessed since he made the move from Turf Moor to Ibrox over the summer, The Canadian international midfielder has been sublime in every sense of the word, scoring goals and registering assists, becoming a vital cog in the Rangers machine under Steven Gerrard.

Stevie G was quick to bring Arfield to Ibrox and the ex-Burnley man was his first signing when he took over in Glasgow. Now, the 30-year-old is repaying that faith that Gerrard put in him with some amazing performances and some big goals. Yesterday’s strike wasn’t the most important of his Rangers career so far, as he added a third goal on 88 minutes at Ibrox but it was his 6th of the season and his third in two games.
Rangers have smashed in ten goals in their last two games in the Scottish Premier League, having beaten Motherwell 7-1 before the international break and then putting three past Livingston yesterday. It looks like things are starting to click for Gerrard at Ibrox, and it’s about time too after something of a rocky start to life in the Scottish Premier League for the ex-Liverpool man, and Arfield looks like the man to be behind it.
