Steven Gerrard is still bedding in at Ibrox and the fans are willing to give him some leeway even after the disappointing defeat against Livingston. The former Liverpool and England captain will desperate to bounce back in the week against Rapid Wein but for now, the fans are fully behind the 38-year-old.

There’s no doubting that Steven Gerrard made mistakes when his Rangers side lost to Livingston on Sunday. The Gers just weren’t at the races as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at Almondvale, courtesy of a Dolly Menga strike in the first half. The fans were far from pleased to see Gerrard fail to start Nikola Katic, Glenn Middleton and Ryan Kent and they’ll be keen to see Gerrard learn from his mistakes in the future.
Next up for Gerrard and Rangers is the Europa league and after coming back from Villarreal with a huge point in their first match of the group stages, there’s no reason why they can’t beat Rapid Wein at Ibrox in Thursday’s clash. Stevie G will be eager to see his side get back to winning ways as soon as possible and it could see the likes of Kent, Middleton and Katic return to the starting lineup when they take to European action in a few days time.
